ElevenLabs charges in credits, and every voiceover, music track or dub draws on the same monthly balance. Almost everything here comes down to one rule: for text to speech, one character costs one credit, so a 1,000-character paragraph costs 1,000 credits and runs about a minute when spoken.
Yes, up to a point. The free plan gives you 10,000 credits a month, which is roughly 10 minutes of text to speech. You can download what you generate, but there is no commercial licence, so the free plan is for trying things out and for projects that stay personal. Commercial rights start at Starter.
Take Starter, the $6 plan with 30,000 credits. A credit works out to 0.02 cents, so a 1,000-character paragraph is about 20 cents and the plan covers roughly 30 minutes of speech. Creator, at $22 for 121,000 credits, stretches that to about 2 hours. Music, dubbing and the other tools charge more per minute than speech does, which the cost table below spells out.

The pricing page opens on yearly billing, which takes two months off the year: Starter is $5 a month billed as $60, Creator $18.33 a month billed as $220. Monthly billing costs $6 and $22. Creator also has a half-price first month on monthly billing, $11. Scale adds 3 seats and Business 10, which matters only if a team shares one account.

Dollar figures are the job's credits divided by the plan's monthly allowance, times the plan's monthly price. Annual billing and intro prices are not applied.
Text to speech on Multilingual v2 is the cheap job. Music is 900 credits a minute, so a Starter month holds around 33 minutes of it, and dubbing without a watermark starts at 2,000 credits a minute, which is about 15 minutes of dubbing on the same plan. Voice changer costs 1,000 a minute, transcription with Scribe 330 a minute, and a sound effect 200 per generation. The calculator on the plans page estimates a monthly total if you mix several of these.

Ten thousand credits is enough to hear the voices, test a script and make a short voiceover for yourself. It stops being enough the moment the clip goes on a monetised channel or into client work, because the free plan carries no commercial licence. That is the only reason I move anyone off it.
Starter, for anyone who wants to publish. At $6 it is the cheapest plan with a commercial licence, and it adds Instant Voice Cloning, which needs about 10 seconds of audio. Creator is where I would stop for serious work: Professional Voice Cloning, which wants about 30 minutes of clean audio, arrives there, and 121,000 credits is a lot of narration. Pro at $99 is a big jump, and I would wait until a month on Creator has actually run dry before paying for it.
Yes. The free plan gives 10,000 credits a month, roughly 10 minutes of text to speech. You can download your audio, but the free plan has no commercial licence.
Starter is $6 a month ($5 a month billed yearly at $60) with 30,000 credits. Creator is $22 ($18.33 yearly at $220) with 121,000 credits. Pro is $99 with 600,000, Scale $299 with 1.8 million and Business $990 with 6 million credits.
Text to speech on Multilingual v2 uses 1 credit per character, so 1,000 characters cost 1,000 credits and run about a minute of speech. On Starter that is roughly 20 cents.
Starter, the $6 plan, is the cheapest one with a commercial licence. Every paid plan above it includes commercial use. The free plan does not.
Starter includes Instant Voice Cloning, which needs about 10 seconds of audio. Professional Voice Cloning starts at Creator ($22 a month) and needs about 30 minutes of clean audio.
